Pls Help With Cayenne S Choice

I have finally upped the ante and going with the 2007 facelifted cayenne s over the new bmw x5. I was hoping you guys could help me decide between basalt black and marine blue? Which color will be better? and regarding the steel apron on the exterior of the car, which will look better? in front or the back? as my dealer told me only one is allowed and not both front back. I am yet to find a picture of a 2007 facelifted cayenne s with this aprons on it? come on germancarfans some advice, suggestions and pointers? CHEERS!

Re: Pls Help With Cayenne S Choice

well you have made a great choice. I have only seen the new cayenne turbo in black a couple of times now and so far no other colors. I found this an amazing color for the car and every time i was like . But if im thinking of the blue your thinking of, then thats a very good choice as well but im a sucker for black cars. I cannot help you with the apron because im not quite sure what that is.
Good luck with everything

Re: Pls Help With Cayenne S Choice

The back of the Cayenne is well designed which is why I would put the steel apron on the slightly weaker front to make it look more dynamic. The rear already has enough steel details.

We all have seen balck Cayennes on the roads and they do look great. But in my opinion black is a boring choice since just about every 2nd or 3rd Cayenne rolling on the roads is black. I would go with the blue colour you see on this gorgeous Turbo S below

Re: Pls Help With Cayenne S Choice

First of all Congratulations to your decision of buying a Cayenne! It's really difficult to choose between those two colours! I saw a blue Cayenne Turbo some time ago and I have really to say, that it looked great. Normally every Cayenne is black or silver, but a blue one is extremely rare - at least at our streets here in germany.
So I would personally go for a blue Cayenne - but I wouldn't know for which interior colour I should decide myself. It's extremely difficult, in my opinion, to find a perfect colour for the interior, when it is a blue car...

edit: photo of blue Cayenne (pre-facelift model, but the colour is great )

Re: Pls Help With Cayenne S Choice

Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate it, anymore suggestions will be most welcome as I am only configuring the car in a week's time. The apron i was referring to is actually shown on the blue cayenne turbo s at the back in between the exhausts. But as luwalira suggested, maybe i should put it in front as the front is dynamically weak which i def agree on Thanks mate. Another thing is, the blue on the cayenne turbo s, is that MARINE BLUE?

In the US the Build Your Own Cayenne S offers front, rear or front and read chrome steel apron as an option. You don't give your location so I don't know if this is correct for you.

The pictures show a Turbo S in "marine blue" - they say this colour is especially for the for the Turbo S!!
