Spy photos : Porsche Cayenne GT???

The photographers caught something unusual on the circuit.Could this be the new Cayenne GT?

The sport package it has installed looks like the one on the Porsche 993 GT2.

Re: Spy photos : Porsche Cayenne GT???

I'd like to think it is but like phaeton I'm more inclined to believe it's the mule for the next gen..

..though wasn't there some rumour of a hybrid? The exhausts on this don't seem to be as prominent as on other Cayennes..?

Exactly and it's insanely expensive too, cost as much as a 997 Turbo. The car might be the rumored Cayenne GTS which is a slightly lowered Cayenne to fill the gap between the S and the Turbo. On the other hand there is no way that the car would be that low and be sitting on non-SUV wheels.

Can it be the Roxster?

Re: Spy photos : Porsche Cayenne GT???

I sure hope it's not a 'sporty' version of the Cayenne, because lets face it, that would be impossible!

I hope it's a mule for another model such as the Panamera or second generation Cayenne!

Re: Spy photos : Porsche Cayenne GT???

The Cayenne Turbo S is the pinnacle of the Cayenne performance, meaning it's as far as the Porsche will elevate the Cayenne name - as this has always been the case for every Porsche model. You're most certainly not going to see a Cayenne GT version of any sort. It is more likely a mule for a yet named upcoming Porsche model, like a Porsche GT two door, front engined sports car. The layout of the mule makes sense of such an idea as it sits low, has wider rear tires and slim front rubber, and the mule has other obvious modifications that would perpetuate the idea of this being some sort of passenger car in development.

Re: Spy photos : Porsche Cayenne GT???

IMO it could be a new Panamera, which is to be built at the same plant and on the Cayenne platform.
