The 690 hp tuning will cost you about 50,000 euro, the 730 hp 6.0 liter tuning will cost you about 150,000 euro, WOW! I asked him what the 0-300 time would be for the 690 hp tuning and he said he has not timed it but would guess about 3 seconds faster than stock. I asked him, if I tuned my GT2 to 542 hp, would it outrun my stock Carrera GT and he said no, the carrera GT would still be faster. I then asked him if he thought the Porsche factory was inacurate with their published figure of 0-300 kph of about 27 seconds, since the magazine tests indicated substantially higher figures. He said no the factory figure is correct. He said that the Porsche factory drivers have tested the car hundred of times and know the car way better than any testing magazine which may have done such a test only a limited number of times. He said that the difference in times has to do with the optimum rpm to shift through the various gears. Waiting until redline does not mean a faster time and to the contrary could yeild a slower time.

Re: RS Tuning - Carrera GT

If i were to tune the Carrera GT, which i wouldn't (!), but if i did i'd probably go with that stage one. The 730 version is awesome, but 150,000 Euro's!??!?

Re: RS Tuning - Carrera GT

Personally, I'd be willing to live with a GT that's just "insanely fast" and not "apocalyptically fast." And like... you'd void the warranty.

Guess if there's people insane and wealthy enough to buy a GT, there's also a smattering of people interested in tuning the car.

Actually you'd be suprised People who know own supercars drive them much more than they ever used to and a little tidbit for you is that the average Zonda owners put 30,000 km on their car every year. Even Enzo's and Carrera GT's are getting more used than ever, you can find a Gallardo with tons of mileage. Either way, i get a grasp of what you're saying.

If i was going for a modified Carrera GT i'd go with TechArt's
