Doesn't look so bad in yours though.
I have not followed the forums on the 350/400 but the 20D/30D has a pretty good reputation for excellent noise control on the less than FF sensors. Noise would probably be more noticeable in a low light situation or in trying to pump up some deep shadow areas. I think in either of these two shots, noise correction software could remove it all so you could not see it even at 100%.

Re: The Camera Thread

The V550 is supereasy to use, great looking, small, big screen and the image quality is pretty good. For what it is, it's probobly among the best. I don't have any complaints. Don't know how the V603 is but if it's pretty much like the V550 you'll be satisfied.

The V550 is also very good value for money. Hence, both my brother and dad bought one.

Here's my camera, a Canon G7 and 220EX flash on top. Got it for Christmas and it's working great. Will also hope to get a wide angle converter taking it to 26.5mm at the wide end, and also a tele converter taking it to 420mm at the tele!

An excellent camera. A friend of mine in Canada had a G1, G3 and I think the G5 or 6 and really produced great images. A lot of capability with this camera and I think Phil Askey dpreview gave it some very good marks.

Good luck with it and shoot lots of pictures...:-)

Thanks, it was actually Simon Joinson who gave it a Highly Recommended (but only just)!

I will post some pictures from it when the weather changes, it's cloudy and a bit dark out there!

BTW, how's the 20D going, are you gonna upgrade to the 40D when it comes out??

Regardless of the reviews...good or bad the camera works really well and will produce great images for you.

I don't know what I will do...the 20D is an excellent body and with a full compliment of fine lenses I may just sit tight. If the 40D has some groundbreaking innovations and improvements, then I will wait until the initial rush is over before I jump on one.
