KeylessGo in w204

Hi guys...

for those who already have keyless go, I'm wondering what will happen in the following scenario:

* I get in the car with key in wife's bag
* I press start button and we drive off
* She get's out to do the shopping while car is still idling...

Will the ignition detect key is outside of the car and then stop working as soon as she steps out of the car (or a certain distance from the car)

Will the car continue to idle and as soon as I find a parking space and turn off the car, I will have to find my wife to be able to start it up again as the key is in her bag.

Regards,

Re: KeylessGo in w204

My guess is that the car will start if your wife is with you in the car. But if she leaves the car with the key, I think the car will probably shut down after a while, don't know how long, but it will. I believe the car is constantly scanning for the key, so if it recognizes that the key is no longer in range, the engine will shut off.

I think you need to ask Nevada Jack to try this on his S550 since he has KG on his car.
