2008 C Class Equipment List - Canada

for the Canucks and the curious:

some highlights of the equipment list from Mercedes Canada as of June 7/07.

Personally looking to get the C300.. but noticed that the pano sunroof and 18" 5 spoke wheels don't appear to be options for the C300 but is available for the C350.. of course these specs can change closer to release..

Also received an email from Mercedes Canada that the official release date will be 3 months (90 days) from today (June 12/07)

going to confirm all of this with my sales rep..

Same thing.

Europe = C280

North America = C300

Both have the same 231-hp 3.0 V6 under the hood.

Re: 2008 C Class Equipment List - Canada

I noticed that there are more standard equipment in the new models, which were all available only as options in the previous W203 model:

Std. in new W204 C300 (Options in W203 C280):
Glass Sunroof
Anti-Theft Alaram System
Bi-Xenon Headlamps with washers and cornering lights
Heated Front Seats
Leather covered steering wheel & shift knob
Split Folding Rear Seats

Std. in new W204 C300 (Not available in W203 C280:
Hill Start Assist
Neck-Pro Headrests
Tire Pressure Loss Warning System
Exterior Power Folding Mirrors
Bluetooth

Overall it appears that the W204 is a lot more competetive than the previous W203. The new C-Class shouldn't have any problems in competing against the 3-series, A4 and the Lexus IS.

Thanks cawimmer. Great forum.

Like johf said, merc has definitely kicked it up a notch with their list of standard equipment. back in '03, when I got my w203, they didn't have 40 profile tires on 17" rims as std equip!

does anyone know if the 4Matics can take the 18" 5 twinspoke AMG rim? I noticed they deleted this as an option for the C350 4Matic in the options list..

Re: 2008 C Class Equipment List - Canada

I just hope the price isn't too far out of whack for the segment. You never get something for nothing with Mercedes-Benz. The U.S. cars have a lot of standards too. Maybe Mercedes has designed and produced the W204 much more efficiently that before which will allow for more standards without a huge price increase, hopefully.
