| Bugatti Italian born Ettore Bugatti produced his first car in 1899 at the age of 19. In 1909 he started his factory in Molsheim, Alsace. Bugattis were known for their advanced engineering in their premium road cars. The company's success culminated with driver Jean-Pierre Wimille winning the 24 hours of Le Mans twice (in 1937 with Robert Benoist and 1939 with Pierre Veyron). Volkswagen AG purchased the rights to produce cars under the Bugatti marque in 1998. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Veyron sightings thread Seeing this car in person on the road is so incredibly special I thought it deserves it's own thread. So here's the tale of my first sighting of a Veyron on the road last night: Last night I was in Beverly Hills cruising Westward on Beverly Blvd., right out in front of Bristol farms in the red there was a Red on Black Veyron!!! I knew what it was but almost couldn't believe my eyes with the large circular-quad style tail lights. I rolled down my window and tried to get my cam phone ready to take a shot, but it happend so fast I couldn't get in time. So we looped round the block back to where the car was and as we were approaching the driver pulled off, and the sound coming from the exhaust was incredible, what I'd call and aural-gasm (no pun intended). The driver was off on his own as we were probably not the only behind the wheel spectators. The car, as some of you know, looks incredible in person, unlike anything else you've ever seen, especially the solid chrome air in takes rising out of the hiney. At the end of Beverly the driver made a right on to Little Santa Monica, and hit it; a loud vrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmm and he was gone. Watching the pace at which this car shot off was amazing, the sound (as was said before) intensified what would just be a casual observation, a sensational once in a lifetime, out of this world, super natural occurence. I will FOREVER LOVE THE VEYRON. Last edited by Deutsch; 12-31-2006 at 04:32 PM. |

I know how it is when you spot an exotic car like a Ferrari or Lambo for the first time on the roads. You get all excited and can't stop thinking about about the car during the whole day. |

I can certainly relate to your experience seeing cars in real life, you'd get infatuated with them. But as Luw said you think about for a day and after a while the appeal wanes. ![]() |
