![]() | Corvette or Boxster I will be graduating soon and I am going to reward myself with my 1st sports car (not bragging just telling my story). I am not sure what to get I have narrowed it down to Porsche boxster or cayman or the Chevrolet Corvette. Some of my friends dont' like vettes and call them old man cars, but for the performance and price you cant go wrong especially with the addition of HID standard on all vettes. The porsche's are bad ass and the style and handling offered are second to none, the thing is people who have had them (doctors I talk to) have said that they have felt cramped in the ride. Even on porsches home site they dont' list the specs for leg room or shoulder room for their vehicles. Give me some feedback and let me know what you guys think..thanks. ![]() ![]() |

![]() | Re: Corvette or Boxster I would go with a Cayman. It's much nicer than the Vette in terms of design and build quality. It may not be quite as fast but it's supposed to be the best handling Porsche on the market. How could you turn that down? |

![]() ![]() | Re: Corvette or Boxster They're both good cars in their own ways. Drive them both and see which you like best. Then buy only what you can reasonably afford so you don't give all your hard earned money to the bank in the form of interest. Then work like hell and buy the other one when you can afford it! |

![]() ![]() | Re: Corvette or Boxster i dont like the vette just always thought it was built cheap interior is pretty bad and so on. I love porsches though so im gona say go for the cayman. That car looks alot better and it has better quality. As others say it may not be as fast but who cares its a porsche |

![]() | Re: Corvette or Boxster I say, sit in them first and see if this "shoulder/leg room" thing will become an issue for you, for example if you are on the 'large' end of the population size bell curve. If you are keen to be seen in this car, and if you're going to reward yourself then there's no shame in that, then perhaps the Cayman coupe isn't quite what you'd be after. Unless you're an expert or race driver, then IMO the difference between a Boxster and a Cayman wouldn't be such that it would be a deciding factor. A Boxster is a bit cheaper, too. HID lights on the Vette, well, they're not essential, are they? I would expect you can get them on the Porsches, too, for a price. IMO, go for the car that you like the interior of, enough. That's where you'll spend most of your time. The performance of any of those cars should be plenty. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Corvette or Boxster Corvette is hella cheap(inside too, unfortunately) and hella fast. Boxster is handling king and hard to fit in, I'll take that compromise. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Corvette or Boxster Impressive as the Corvette is, the interior certainly doesn't live up to the car's image or packaging. Porsche really stepped things up with their new interiors. Unless something specifically irritates you about the Boxster I'd get one. Sure, it's not as fast, but more refined and you'll certainly have the same seat-of-your-pants thrills. |
