BMW forward model plans, 2005-2012

I've found that chart in a report about supplying BMW AG. It's based on suppliers' info and therefore incomplete and an object to change. But it's very interesting nevertheless.

Seems interested BMW are not naming their new cars Exx, it seems Fxx is the new naming system!

Nothing is really that interesting, except for the date of the RR cab. It's going to be monsterous. But this chart wouldnt be that hard for any of us to make, new model numbers aside. We know that most BMWs have a production life of 7 years and this chart follows it.

E70 sounds interesting, and no Z10.... humm.... ok.

E70 is a new X5.

X6 SAC is coded F06, not E70 as stated in the chart.

V5 RFK's code is F05.

I am surprised that 1 coupe or 2 series is not confirmed yet.

under the 7series you can see that there will come a bmw mpv

I guess BMW opted Z2 roadster over 1er cabrio. And itis possible they are considering 1er 3-door shooting-brake over 1er coupe.

I guess they are analyzing which variant has best chances in the worldwide markets and will be most profitable.

There is surely no space for a cabrio AND a roadster based on 1er platform. Nor 3-door hatch, SB AND coupe.

BMW will have to choose one open roof vehicle, and one solid closed roof one for production.
