Recommend nice BMW sites/forums.

A friend of mine is considering buying a second hand E46 3 series and he needs to ask some technical questions.
Can BMW fans recommend some good BMW sites and forums for him please?

Re: Recommend nice BMW sites/forums.

Thank you Giannis but he lives in Athens. He has found a two year old 3 series with the 1.8 lt valvetronic engine (140 hp) and 21,000 km for 26,500 euro and he is thinking about it. Right now he needs to know what kind of problems he should check for.

Re: Recommend nice BMW sites/forums.

Tell him to go to bimmerfest.com. That site is extremely good when it comes to technical advice. They will tell you what to look for in a second hand car, it's excellent. Although it's a great bunch of owners, I don't go there often anymore because I don't work at BMW anymore and don't drive a BMW

I was an accoustic engineer for the summer. We tested cars that just rolled out of the factory for any kind of noise, just on the road and if it's bad, we took it into the accoustic lab and on the dyno. The red 330i was a reference car.... how a 330i should sound like without any problems (i.e drivetrain noise, windnoise, ect...)
