Still a classic car but should be revolutionized ASAP. The RR phantom is a ideal example here.
It does look a little old-fashioned, but I thought it looked old when it first came out nearly a decade ago ...it is slightly retro in it's styling.

However, one could argue, quite convincingly, that it is still the best-looking car in it's class.

Re: 2007 Bentley Arnage gets power boost

I just realised something particularly strange: if the Bentley ornament is on the hood:

Then why doesn't this picture have it? It has a modern Bentley logo instead found on the Flying Spur & Conti GT.

Re: 2007 Bentley Arnage gets power boost

The pictures with the "flying-B" shows the Arnage Drophead Coupé. Maybe they only wanted to liven up the old Bentley spirit.
I don't know why they don't equip "normale" Bentleys with it.

Because it is optional James

Bentley offers many options for customizing your Arnage; like a smaller rear window for more privacy or chrome around the grille.

You've read me like a book here! I really never though about how many gears it had! Apparently neither did the press since I couldn't find a single complaint about it.

Re: 2007 Bentley Arnage gets power boost

I would never specify the smaller rear window, can't stand it:

The Maybach 62 looks like some sort of unproportioned mess in that side shot compared to the Bentley and Rolls. Just a blob.

Ah, I completely forgotten about the (almost) limitless changes you can request for your Bentley Arnage... Thanks.

Maybe because of the enormous torque the engine has, it doesn't need so many gears to move smoothly.

This is exactly true. Torque is one reason why MB didn't see the need for developing their 7-speed to handle the super/turbocharged AMG V8s and V12.
