Hi Lu,

Which do you like more, the original or facelifted Arnage?

Also, did you know you can still specify the other type of Bentley grille if you prefer.

Wonderful interior as on all Bentleys, but the exterior has all the elegance of a Sante Fe railcar. The Flying Brick just sucks in the style department, IMO.

The squarish proportions and chunky profile is classic large brit sedan, I really don't think these cars could ever be made to look any other way. It's lovely in my eyes. To boot these cars designs are a product of their enviorment, with very little light emitted within the confines of London streets designers of the Phantom designed the character line to reveal what little light could be seen at all, along the uppper concave surface that runs atop the character line.

?? Beats me exactly what you are trying to say there Deutsch ....but you are correct, the Phantom does have a distinctly London feel about it -- especially in black.

Still it's one million times better than the Maybarque.

I was giving the reasoning behind the large chunky slab sided profiles of large brit four doors (cheifly speaking all modern Rollers and Bentleys), using the Phantom as a primary example.

Yeah sure, only if you like cars to look like freight-trains.

I am getting the feeling you don't like it much Marcus

To be perfectly honest though, I think you are being a little tough on it ...sure it isn't as pretty as we would like it to be ..but it isn't nearly as hideous as you would have us believe.

Re: The Bentley Flying Spur. Love it or hate it, it's still a very good car.

If anything Yannis those pics only confirm what I think about the car. The proportions are terrible and the whole looks says freight train to me. The car isn't nearly as elegant as the Arnage. The problem is those front fenders and that long overhang, it screams fwd-based chassis. The car should have been more upright in the front, IMO. Next to the Arnage it is an embarrassment. At this level I'd want a thing of beauty, like an Aston Martin or a an Arnage. If I want a marginal looking car with an outstanding interior I'll get the better looking 57S.
