Re: Bentley Configurator.

Nice. Hmmm, i must say that although i'm not a fan of this car, i have to admit that the side profile here:

...looks 10 times better than the S class... (you're comparing those two constantly, right?)

But here:

...it's soooo ugly that it hurts!

Re: Bentley Configurator.

I think the S class looks just as good in profile, especially the S65. I do compare these two cars because they are direct competitors. The Bentley Flying Spur was conceived to take sales from the S class.

Re: Bentley Configurator.

OK Artist, but nobody can tell me that the S class's interior is better than the Flying Spurs.

Also, people keep saying that Bentley's interiors are old-fashioned ...but that is just not true.

Can someone please tell me what is so "old school" about this?

Admittedly the Azure and Arnage are a little more traditional, but they are hardly antique looking.

A few details: Circular chrome aircon vents, metal knobs to close these vents, Breitling clock. Though of course, there are some futuristic details to it. But I think you can tell better than me that this interior does not look as modern as the CL's. It's just how the design works... You're the guru.

Guru

I never said the interior was more modern than the CL's James, but it isn't antiquated either. Yes, there are details that make references to the old Bentleys ..like the metal knobs ...but they are have been part of Rolls-Royce and Bentley's interiors for a long time, I think the circular air-vents were first used in the Silver Shadow.

Re: Bentley Configurator.

Stunning interiors on those Bentleys for sure, but you know the rest! The Arnage interior is peerless in the automotive world, IMO. I like the Continental Flying Brick's interior too.

Well contrary to what it may appear, I did not start this thread just to carry on the argument I started in the CL thread ...but I did have a point to make nonetheless.

I am not a huge fan of any of the Bentleys really ..even the Arnage interior is not really to my taste to be perfectly honest.

I much prefer the theatricality of the Rolls-Royce Phantom's interior.

Re: Bentley Configurator.

I really liked the interior black and off-white combination. As I've said previously, I have never even sat in a Bentley, Rolls or Maybach so can't really comment on their comfort feel. I have driven an S500 and sat in an S600 though, and can't imagine how anything could feel more comfortable than the S600. Maybe I'll find out one day.
