Re: The Sultan of Brunei's Private Airplane

Good point Merc. When my family saw Trumps condo on TV they said "Wow, he's rich!!!!!!!" while I though "he really knows how to demonstrate his wealth but that's tasteless". I love gold touches here and there just as medusa heads in the bath room or someting but gold every where is just tacky. I bet that his guests and visitors don't feel comfortable in te condo, everything looks so fragile, make people scared to touch anything.

Re: The Sultan of Brunei's Private Airplane

It reminds me of Saddam Hussein's palaces or some of the grand residences of Palm Beach.

Now this is the real thing, The Versailles palace - everything is so utterly breathtakingly magnificent - it's from a completely different universe to the Sultan's Jet or Trump's condo - this is true greatness - and that is very rare.

You'd go nuts trying to keep all that tacky stuff clean. A sink like that would make you brush your teeth like a robot instead of the way you know you would using your own sink. These pics prove that wealth does not always mean taste.

Ok, eNd RaNt.

It's easy for us to say because we weren't raised up with the same kind of standard. Sure I think gold looks tacky, but if you were brought up with that kind of wealth, that's what you are going to think that looks good. ANd yea, he probably doesn't look twice at the fact that it's a gold sink.
Another example is the 7 star hotel in Dubai... the one that looks like a sail boat. While we would be drooling at the sight of all the gold (yea they have gold toilet... go figure), a lot of people from there would be like .

Re: The Sultan of Brunei's Private Airplane

I don't agree that gold looks tacky, it's all a matter of how it's used.

BTW, Your last post was very funny Lu

The interior of the Sultan's Jet is in the same taste as these.
