Here's another aircraft pics thread from the Deutsches Museum.

Arado Ar-66d
The Arado Ar-66 was a pilot training aircraft used by the Luftwaffe before and during World War II. The aircraft on display was found in 1983 in the Starnberger lake at a depth of 80 meters when a salvage company looking for a sunken ship located the aircraft by accident. Records indicate that the aircraft crashed in the latter stages of World War II. The fate of the two-man crew remains unknown.

Bachem Ba 349 "Natter" & Rheintochter R1
The Ba 349 was a vertical starting aircraft whose propulsion was a Walter HWK 109-509 rocket motor. The Natter was to start vertically and quickly climb to high altitude to engage the Allied bombers with rockets located in the nose. Once the mission was completed, the pilot was to bail out while the important sections of the Natter would fall to ground via parachute. The only manned test in early 1945 resulted in the death of the pilot.

The Rheintochter R1 was a two-stage guided anti-aircraft missile who's development began in 1942 at Rheinmetall-Borsig. It was designed to combat the high-flying Allied bombers. Until November 1944, 50 tests were completed with mixed results. The warhead was armed with a 25 kg high-explosive nose. At its highest speed, the R1 could cover 360 meters per second.

Fieseler Fi-156 C3 Trop "Storch"
One of the most famous German airplanes of World War II, the Storch was made famous for its amazing slow speed flight capabilities and for the daring rescue of the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini in 1943. The Storch on display belonged to the Swiss air force and remained in use until 1963.

Dornier Do-27 B
The Do-27 is a STOL-type plane that was primarily employed as a recon and liason aircraft by West Germany, Israel and a number of other countries. The maiden flight was in 1955.

Messerschmitt BF-108 / Nord 1002
The BF-108 is the aircraf on which all modern sports planes are based. It was used by the Luftwaffe as a liason aircraft
