Wimmer this is the right job for you...

Audi Boosts Demand for New Employees in 2007

More New Appointments Compared with 2006

- 350 new jobs for academics
- New employees particularly required in Technical Development and in Production

AUDI AG will employ 350 employees with university qualifications next year. “We need highly qualified young professionals to strengthen the core competences of the company and thus enhance our innovative power. Interesting tasks and individual possibilities for development are elementary when it comes to remaining an attractive employer in the long-term,” Dr Werner Widuckel, Board Member for Human Resources, expresses his conviction.

Audi follows the principle of Vorsprung durch Technik in its selection of staff as well. More than half of the new employees will be deployed in the area of Technical Development. There is a particularly high demand for engineers with qualifications in the areas of electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering and vehicle technology. However, engineers with qualifications in other specialist areas also stand a good chance.

Experts are above all needed in the development teams for Clean Diesel engines and hybrid drive systems – AUDI AG intends to be well-prepared for the challenges of the future. For this reason, the company is actively involved in research into engines which are both efficient and powerful at the same time.

They're looking mostly for engineers, but I am praying they take me anyway! They need marketeers too!

Re: Wimmer this is the right job for you...

Christian, you have a degree in marketing?

Hm, it's not easy to get a serious job in the car industry with such a degree, but it's not unpossible, too! I wish you all the luck in the world!

PS. My dream was to get a serious job in the car industry but my univescity studies don't help me.. I am a civil engineer. The most i can do for a car maker is built some new headquarters

Thanks guys.

Giannis, yep, I have a Bachelor's in Arts (which includes marketing). I know that car companies these days are looking for engineers, but I am hoping they'll find a suitable place for me as well because I really want to work in the car business. I can't work in a bank or something that doesn't interest me.
