![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Employees get a share in Audi's success. Employees Share in Audi's Success • Additional 21.7 million euros distributed to employees • Current profit-sharing policy remains in place In 2006, some 45,000 Audi employees in Germany will share in the company’s success in the previous fiscal year to an even greater extent than before. In May, 21.7 million euros will be paid out to employees to whom a collective agreement applies in addition to their salary. As outlined in the agreement “The Future of Audi – Performance, Success, Sharing”, which was made in April 2005, this amounts to 10 percent of the operating profit over and above 1.2 billion euros. In 2005, the Audi Group’s operating profit was 1,417 million euros (2004: 1,238 million euros). “With this additional employee profit-sharing, we are rewarding the excellent hard work and achievements of Audi staff. They made a significant contribution to the fact that, in 2005, we again achieved record levels in terms of sales, profit, production and number of vehicles delivered”, said AUDI AG’s Chief Human Resources Officer, Dr. Werner Widuckel. He stressed that, “Through this new, variable and profit-dependent income component, the success of the company becomes the personal success of its employees.” Widuckel added that this was a groundbreaking approach to increasing wages and salaries in conjunction with the company’s revenue growth. According to Peter Mosch, Chief of the General Works Council at AUDI AG, “The agreement ‘The Future of Audi – Performance, Success, Sharing’ has paid off for the employees. This is good news for our colleagues in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm: within a year, once senior management, the General Works Council, IG Metall and the Employers’ Association have signed this deal, which is supplementary to the collective agreement, our staff will be rewarded for their outstanding commitment. Personnel-related guarantees, involvement in decision-making and profit-sharing lead to highly-motivated staff members who rise to the challenges of the future and so continue to drive Audi forwards on the path to success.” The current profit-sharing policy remains in place. In July, the employees will again receive a sum of 72.6 million euros, comprising a basic share, a bonus dependent on the length of service and a variable component. - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER |
