![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Audi Roadjet will be named Q4? Audi Confirms Roadjet Concept Will Be Built INGOLSTADT — Audi will build a production version of the Roadjet concept seen at the Detroit auto show earlier this month, according to news reports. Audi CEO Martin Winterkorn told Automotive News, "A vehicle derived from the Roadjet will be available soon." Audi executives added that it would be positioned as a more upscale car than the current A4 "with a significantly higher price." The Roadjet is a five-door, high-roof crossover wagon with a high seating position and a body style similar to that of the A3 Sportback. It has Audi's customary quattro four-wheel-drive system and will join two other crossover-style vehicles from Audi: the Q7 and the forthcoming Q5, Audi's planned compact SUV that will compete with the BMW X3 and the Land Rover Freelander. The Roadjet concept was fitted with a 300-horsepower, 3.2-liter direct-injection V6 mated to a seven-speed DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) transmission. It's unlikely to retain the fabulous but un-Audi-like name "Roadjet." Instead, it'll fit the Audi naming system, which means it could be called "Q3" or "Q4" or even "A5." - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER |

Than i think Q3 is out of de question and it will likely be Q4 or A5. Further i am curious what the name will be for the "Allroad Quattro concept". Will it be "Audi Allroad Quattro" or "Audi A6 Allroad Quattro" or Audi Q6. wfg, Hans. |

Personally I'm a little unsure about this strategy. I mean the reason you Audi made the Allroad in the first place was that they had no SUV... but now that they'll offer many allroads and many SUV, won't they canalised some sales? | |
