Re: First Gen. S and Latest Gen. S

I loved my S4, to me that car was the best.
Had so much fun, abused everyone with it.

2001 S4 MTM 6 speed yellow/black.
All tinted out. Windshield and all.
19" Hamman replica's/ Rieger spoilers.

Re: First Gen. S and Latest Gen. S

I'll tell you what my dream project would look like.

* Going to Germany and buying a 2001-2002 Audi S4 BiTurbo, untuned, original 265hp. A blue or a silver one.
* Then for very little money give it a boost to 310 hp, which makes the car go from 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. Compare to 5,7 seconds original.
* Get the RS4 B5 bumper
* Lower it a bit
* Darken the windows
* Give it a little E46 lip spoiler on the trunk.

That's it. Nothing more

Something like this:

Re: First Gen. S and Latest Gen. S

This is what my ideal B5 S4 would look like. But with the interior I posted earlier in the thread.

(this is really an A4 but i would want my S4 to look like this)

Re: First Gen. S and Latest Gen. S

Another one I liked alot is the S2

I am actually considering purchasing one of these for a relatively cheap price and making it a project car (if I can find one).

Hey, me too! But not a project car. Just for my 2nd car! It's between a Coupé 2.8 Quattro, S2 or a A3 1,8T. I'll make a dicision too.

Hi, I'm new to this site.
I had an S2 avant years ago - would make a great car to own.
Huge turbo lag but when it got going it was literally like a rocket.
Could never get all 6-gears quickly though so that slowed me a lot!

Owned a TT later and expected it to be as quick based on bhp numbers but it wasn't in the same league. Torque difference I suppose.
