Re: Audi Roadjet Concept

A crossover-type thingy would make some sense. But it should not look like a Fiat!

Re: Audi Roadjet Concept

De Silva statements from recent interview:

"The investment in a concept car is so high, they [almost] have to be used as a base for a production model. In the technology, architecture, design, and construction, concept cars are made with the same attention as making a car for production."

"In the future ... I see evolution on the exterior of cars and revolution in the interiors. "

"We are a premium brand, and we have to follow our own design philosophy. Our only motto is to be a leader not a follower in technology, quality, and design. The evolution of design is constant. What Audi did over the last three years in introducing new models and new design no other auto maker has accomplished in the same amount of time. I see a period of consolidation ahead. But we are already working on the architecture of the next platform. It's a huge step forward -- the architecture is even better and the cars will be even more beautiful. The proportions will be even better."

Summary:

Audi Concept cars almost always made into production.

At Audi we'll see evolution of exterior, but revolution of interior design.

A period of a design consolidation, new platform architectures with better proportions, more beautiful (borin?) design are ahead of Audi.

Haha, good summary Tine! BMW is the leader in all areas, IMO. I wouldn't say that's a slanted opinion but actual fact. I don't see what's changed in proportions other than the unsightly, bulbous roof? The hood most certaintly any longer to accomadate better/ideal engine placement, o bother, indeed, nothing has changed.

All jokes aside, this is the new A4. We shall see who has the last laugh How in the h-e-l-l can this be the Q5??? I'm sure that's been saved for Geneva or some point thereafter.

Re: Audi Roadjet Concept

The question is how the h-e-l-l can you think that this is the new A4??
This car is WAY TO SMALL to be an A4!

The Q5 will defenitely look like this, off course with more off-road structure.

Re: Audi Roadjet Concept

The front and the rear looks really A4-ish and just as Deutsch I beleive that this car gives us a hint about what the new A4 will look like.
