O that it is. This car looks too big to be an A3 sportback, and the proportions are off for a compact hatch. Secondly, the A4 is due for a replacement a lot sooner than A3. I rest my case.

Than what it is?

If AUDI just wanted to display the hi-tech they would packed it in a more futuristic design Concept. Not something so "executable".

Da Silva just say in the interview they showed only the design Concepts that later became a production vehicles. So ...

well then im amazed.. its not even good looking.. imo.. boring even.. the A4 now is much better..

I have to say that if the next A4 looks like this I'll be very disappointed. It looks like some mid-90's Fiat Group concept car with Audi grille and tail lights.

This Concept car is 1.55m high. That's 15cm more than current A4 avant.
Also it has totally new proportions - something Da Silva talked about in the interview - and now having BMW proprtions 4.70m lenght / 2.85 wheelbase.

I'm sure that's it. Call it A4 Sportback or W4 or whatever - its A4-based van/hatch/wagon crossover!

The question is how similar will it be to A4 sedan. I hope it's not it - otherwise I'm very disappointed. Because that design is PLAIN!

I'm sure they'll do more w/ the design between now and when the B8 is launched, this is Audi's bread and butter car. It also says in the press release that this is a "B segment" car.
