You can see that back in the day MB, BMW, and Audi has very similiar boxy designs. Some of you may argue what I am about to say but I would say it has to do with the fact that they were entering to many different markets at the time that they wanted to stary conservative. The time has come for all three to extend themselves even further in the current markets they are in. BMW started by making controversial design changes on their cars, followed by both MB and Audi. This makes me so happy, because now we, as the consumers, can chose between three different design types as compared with the past.
Well, I second that (except for MB, were the W221 is a change for the worst, love the CLS tough)
