Re: 2008 New York Auto Show: Audi Perspective.

I think a lot of us here (me included) are going to fall for the A/S5 big time once we all see it in person. Somewhat of a trend as of late with German car new releases, ok looking in pics, but really great looking in person.

Re: 2008 New York Auto Show: Audi Perspective.

I think the designers have done a brilliant job with the A5, S5.. The purity of design is unmistakable. It`s european fashion treatments are quiet and low-key, unlike it`s compeditors.. this is something Audi fans are looking for in Audi designs.

Btw, I think it`s hotter than hell! this might be the best coupe design in it`s class.

I totally agree with you. Although I still think of that "little" thing: little to corny fheadlights.

that red S5....I'm sold!!
I'm just a sucker for white interiors. And Audi's inside jobs are simply top notch!

Re: 2008 New York Auto Show: Audi Perspective.

Audi indeed makes wonderful interiors. I think Audi is the best at making the most interesting and appealing interior. I love BMW but I can't give them credit in this department. Many know that Audi takes the crown and they do it with style. This A5/S5 is interesting. I love the new M3 and am sold on it and I am still floating on this A5/S5, but there is something that is clear about this car, it has a massive presence. It has somewhat of a CL class presence if you look at it. Take a closer look and the design of the car will reveal that it expands more than contracts. It may be an illusion of the picture, but the car definitely gives off a massive and strong presence.

There is one thing that I do not understand about Audi in this case. They have the A4 line up and the A4 lineup has the cabrio. Why are they introducing an A5? It doesn't make sense to me. You see, BMW has the 3 in 4 and 2 door which is what the M3 is based on. So, Audi has the 4 door A4 and 2 door cabrio, however, for the 2 door coupe it is a different model all together? Will Audi do away with the A4 cabrio one day? Will they make an A5 cabrio? I don't get it.

The A4 cabrio will become the A5 cabrio.

Re: 2008 New York Auto Show: Audi Perspective.

If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times, Audi has the best looking lineup of any luxury car maker, and quite possibly of any brand period. Look at the RS4, S5, S6, S8, and R8. Then add the interior factor to the mix and it really becomes quite clear who has the best looking lineup inside and out.
