  | Audi is Korea's favorite imported marque.  Audi is Korea's favorite imported marque. Audi has become the most popular imported car brand in Korea for the first time since it made inroads into the Korean market in 2004. The Korea Automobile Importers & Distributors Association said Monday that 4,365 imported cars were newly registered in January, a monthly record, up 26.6 percent from the previous year. Audi’s A6 2.4 sedan was the most popular imported car in Korea in January. By brand, Audi took first place with 593 cars registered. Next came Mercedes-Benz (580), BMW (545), Lexus (539), and Honda (442). Volkswagen ranked sixth (378), Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge seventh (318), Peugeot eighth, and Infiniti and Ford ninth and tenth. The most popular model was Audi’s A6 2.4 sedan, followed by Lexus’ ES350, Honda’s CR-V sports utility vehicle, Lexus’ LS460 and BMW’s 320i.
