![]() ![]() ![]() | 4Car: First test of Audi A5 "Assets Quality and solidity, sumptuous cabin, big boot, gutsy 3.0 TDI engine, effective Multitronic transmission. Drawbacks Nose-heavy chassis, unresolved styling, poor rear-seat room. Verdict Lacks a clear personality. Competent in many ways but could have been so much better. The 3.0 TDI Quattro is the best version." - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER |

I think of quite the opposite... PS. Only 3 out of 5 in the Driving part. Not good...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: 4Car: First test of Audi A5 They drove the Diesel version. Diesel engines tend to be heavier than Petrol ones. There you have the reason why they complained about "nose-heavy" handling. What's more, the model they drove didn't have the Magnetic dampers. But I'm not sure if you can order the 3.0 TDI with Magnetic dampers. Yannis should clarify that for us. Oh! And A5 haters E92 fans...don't get too cocky Ok? 4Car didn't like the looks of the 3-Series Coupé that much either. |

AutoBild Audi-love struck again? |

![]() | Re: 4Car: First test of Audi A5 i am kind of disappointed at the test result, this car and the new chassis promised so much, but it still cant beat the beemers in terms of driving dynamic. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: 4Car: First test of Audi A5 I think by every means one should always test for himself and see what he likes best. At the same time it turns out this new modular platform is not exclusive to Audi, just Audi is the first to use it before it becomes a generic VWAG platform. With that said, I'm not surprised that this car has driving characteristics indigenous to prior Audi's. Close, but no cigar, thus far... Beyond that the A5 has gone cold on me, especially with what I'm learning about the cars packaging; only a tilt sunroof, only 6spds available with possibility of no DSG coming stateside. So add that to a dull personality and you have one less enthusiastic spectator. Still an insanely gorgeous car though. ![]() |

BMW is one dimensional and for that reason alone I don't believe they should be compared to such complete vehicles like the A/S5 or the C-Class! The A/S5 handles great, looks great, and makes the 3-Series look like a Ford Focus when comparing interiors. We really should compare what can be compared and stop acting like these cars are truely rivals because their honestly not!![]()
