My parents has nothing to do which cars Im intrested to. My intrests go way back. Since I was a little kid, I've been intrested in cars and thats was the time when my parents owned Volvo's and Mazdas. Im 30 years old now and first time they owned a BMW I was like 20-22 years old and I was intrested in BMW long before that. So my intrests in bmw has nothing to do with my parents choice. I do my own thing too so your post above is totally wrong. We are no different after all.

Really? Sales are more important than what some journalists say. I find it weak if someone cant make their own choice.

Re: 4Car: First test of Audi A5

It might be "dull to drive" for a hardcore journalist but may still be the best car for someone that wants a safe, well build, luxurious , practical and beautiful car that can take him from point A to B fast enough and with minimal effort.

Not everyone drives like a rally driver you know.

no my parents dont drive like rally drivers but still they buy bimmers but without big engines. Why you might ask? because they want to go to a - b without a hurry.

The E92 gives you all that PLUS class-leading ride and handling.

As i've said, dynamics is very important for a sports car such as the A5/S5, maybe not as important for a luxury car like the A8, but in this segment, drivinf dynamics is the key.

Some key quotes:

"This feels a big, bulky car"

"The improvement is not immediately obvious"

"The steering is indeed more accurate... but it still feels aloof from the road"

"the A5 is disappointingly inert here"

"There's no joy in hustling it through bends"

And finally why the A5/S5 is this way:

"Why the dull dynamics? And why waste all that effort in developing the new platform? Audi's chief chassis engineer agrees with our assessment and would like things to be different, but Audi's marketing department insisted that the A5 must feel familiar to existing Audi owners"

There is a lot of middle ground between driving like a rally driver and a dull, boring drive.
