Yes, it is indeed very easy to go WAY over the speed limits. Yes, most of the time I am going at minimum of 120km/h on our highways if there is no traffic (speed limit of 100km/h). Accelerating from 100km/h to 140-160km/h can be done in a blink of an eye in my C55 when I pass cars. I've gone as fast as 230-240km/h on a highway stretch at night, but it does get dangerous, as slower cars start coming up REALLY fast in front of you. Not a smart thing to do. If the cops catch you speeding so much over the limit, it could mean immediate suspension of your license.

Most of the time, the fun in having a fast car is the ACCELERATION to certain speeds, not necessarliy the actual speed itself that you reach. It's not worth the risk to travel at or close to 200km/h (124mph) when other cars are travelling much slower. An accident at those speeds means very high probability of death.
