There is a way to find out the real weight of a VW/Audi. If you look at the trunk next to the spare tire there is a small piece of paper with codes. The codes represent the type of the model, the color , the equipment , the trim ect. One of those numbers is the curb weight of the vehicle and Passat is heavier than Jetta of course although i 'm not sure how much.
