They can charge more because you get more than just options checked in boxes... it is the whole package that demands the extra dollars...the intangibles that make it worth extra dollars...the reputation of the brand that makes it worth the extra dollars...etc, etc, etc....
BTW..."competitors" claim they offer more and better equipped cars cheaper but many are really not competitors but "wannabes."
