| Re: World's most expensive lemon? (CLK-GTR) There's more going on than just repairs needed. The buyer says the car was devalued because 6 were made rather than 5. My speculation is MB balked at fixing it because of threatened legal action over production numbers, and MB probably wanted the buyer to pay freight to get the car to Germany to be worked on. If you buy a car like that there are alot of expenses that go with it. I have to pay $420 to ship my Lamborghini to the nearest dealer, but that's part of the game. A CLK GTR needs to go to Germany for repairs.
Also MB may have had a resale clause in their contract that the current owner was violating. These are just my guesses, you shouldn't judge until both sides of the story are known. |
