Ugh! That's just frightening that BMW would partner up with a brand like Girard-Perregaux. But, come think, they already have some BMW edition watches.

For those of you who don't know, Girard-Perregaux is a watch brand with a rich history, and today, makes really ugly, overpriced pieces. They are #1 on my list of garbage prestige watchmakers.

It's not just that their watches are hideous, but that people also find them desireable becasuse of the brand's legacy.

Lorus quality design for Rolex prices!

Indeed, the 7er interior was fresh, modern, stylish, ... when it was launched in 2002, but even after 4 years it retains its modern ambiance! I especially like the combination of those beautiful wood trims with the alu parts, also the alu-colored trim in the doors (independent of the other interior upholstery). As a consequence, I was a bit disappointed when the 5er came with black plastic air vents and less 'rich' wood trims.
But back on topic: absolutely amazing interior

The wood texture is very nice (the more glossy wood trims that you find in the 7er, A8 and S-class don't have that rough, 'natural' or organic look). The leather color goes very well with it, and the details are sublime!
BTW, why do we see so little 'Audi Exclusive' or 'Mercedes Designo' editions? Is it for example still possible to have stone inlays in your S or CL? Haven't seen pictures of these trims yet?

The watches might not be that great looking... but that interior is pretty darn hot !!

Well I that interior is very good looking. Feels very comfy.

Now Osna...I don't about the second watch but the first watch is pretty good looking.

Consider Naruto, GP chronographs will run you in the neighborhood of $5,000. These watches are sold as serious prestige items but sport 2nd rate designs. The watch above might work as a budget-priced watch, but for this money is way off the mark. Some of their formal pieces cut the mustard, but the line as a whole is lackluster. Certainly not the caliber of brand I like to see partnered with BMW.

Anyways, stupid tie-in, beautiful interior.
