A well-known germantuning company called G-power are working for a powerboost for the M5/M6. The displacement will be changed from 5.0 to 5.7 liters and offering about 650 hp but also other (not so radical) engine options will be available. It will be offered sometime in the spring next year.

G-POWER V-MAX Release M5 / M6 until 330km/h


In front of your door, performance-desiring 507 hp are sleeping, being placed into an attractive aerodynamic appearance. Unfortunately, the rapid driving feeling is serially restricted to 250 km/h.

In order to awake the potential of 520Nm and to let the top speed become your driving experience, G-POWER offers for the E60 M5 and E63 M6 the can-bus driven G-Tronic V-Max Modul in two versions.

Besides the 300km/h release you can receive our stage 2 with 330 km/h top speed. The moduls will be installed by plug & play and can be carried out at your dealer or workshop. Assembly time approx. 30 minutes without any intervention into the engine electronic. G-POWER provides you with a guarantee of 2 years on the module.

We recommend for the M5 and also for the M6 a G-POWER speedometer extension to 400 km/h (in preparation).

Should you already be owner of an M5, also you can have done in our house a performance optimization in two stages.

After the optimization the performance will reach at stage 1 - GV 5:
- 395 kW/535 hp at 7750 rpm - 535 Nm at 6100 rpm

At stage 2 - GV 5S we offer the following output:
- 404 kW/550 hp at 7750 rpm - 540 Nm at 6100 rpm

In preparation : 600 hp performance.

Suitable for the G-Tronic for the M5 and M6 G-POWER offers also the new Styling III Pro wheel in the sizes 19 up to 21 inches. The 3-pieces 15-spoke rims with high-gloss polished stainless-steel outer bed are manufactured of aluminium used in the aircraft construction.
