I've come to the conclusion that I like the GL (despite not having seen the car myself). If I were in the market for a luxury SUV this would definitely be close to the top of my list, not that I have handy the €122,000 it would take to buy one here. It might be because it appears (and I mean appears) to be more 'honest' than many of its competitors in the sense that it's more 'utility' than 'sport'.
