warot, Renault has taken over Nissan/Infiniti, and with considerable success at that. It's just that the Infiniti brand has not been introduced in Europe and it seems that despite intentions of doing so Renault is now seeking to buy an established luxury brand. Of course, those with long memories will remember that Renault almost bought Volvo back in the early 90's but chickened out at the last moment.
