Serisoly speaking, Autobild said the E500 won because of the combination V8 and comfort. Autobild also said there are no loosers, it was a matter of taste but him, the tester, prefered the E500.
Also, as usual, the 540i was sportier to drive and was the best buy for the money according to Autobild.
