You know, I think, in some ways, people are more conservative today than in the past. I think back to the artists and designers of the first 2-3 decades of the twentieth century and the radical new ideas that were being generated at that time - Mike, you will be very familiar with the genius of Alvar Aalto and his revolutionary ideas in architecture and design along with others like Gropius and Breuer, or the music of Sibelius, Prokofiev, Berg, and Stravinsky; paintings and sculpture by Miró, Picasso, Malevich, and Brancusi.
Today the true Avant-garde is virtually non-existent.
