Re: Offical: Production E92 M3

I love the side profile. This car is just so muscular. The wheels do look a bit small though, but then again, only 18".

This car is gonna be a beast. The performance stat (if real) is pretty good. And we all know that these manufacturers put slower times up.

I don't understand why BMW goes through all the trouble to call the new M3 a "Concept" at the auto show a few weeks ago when this is the same damn thing. That is unless they change the back...

Acording to SCOTT26 the concept shown was a hybrid between the regular M3 and the M3 CSL.

Re: Offical: Production E92 M3

Am I the only one who thinks that "power dome" looks completely out of place, especially in the profile view?

Other than that this car looks pretty bad ass, and will probably give the RS4 a licking.

It seems they are still tight-lipped about the weight.

Ironic because after hp and tq, that is the only significant specification left. Instead, we get dimensions . . .

Was the omission intentional or not? If intentional, why?

Very good questions only BMW will answer- but I think we will be surprised with the weight.
The fuel economy improvement over the E46 M3 is quite remarkable if the figures are correct:
City driving E46 vs E90(mpg): 16 vs 15.8 ie (-1%) fuel improvement-relatively flat.
Highway driving E46 vs E90(mpg): 24 vs 30.7 ie 28% improvement.
The Torque profile first indicated the fuel savings, but I wasn't expecting such an improvement.
Judging by this, I can safely assume that it is going to be as light as the E46, may be more or less, but not by a significant margin.

Edit:
The big question mark is what gallon are we talking about. I could be mixing things up here..

Re: Offical: Production E92 M3

Highway fuel economy is also much better because of the V8 instead of the I6.

I like it a lot, except one thing: My god that engine is ugly. I mean what the hell, I know technically it's a masterpiece but take some lessons of Audi and MB, they have "lesser engine's" look better.
