Hmmm, what does the RS4 engine weigh? I know the RS4 has 430.00 NM (317 Ft-Lbs) @ 5500.00 RPM, so that is higher already if this is true. I don't like those M3 numbers at all Eni I want more power (at least 430 hp) and more torque, at a much higher RPM. This is supposed to be a high revving car, not a diesel or turbo!!! | |

I told you guys this a few months ago and its been on the net for months. So this shouldnt be shocking at all. A more powerful engine is only for M3 CSL. If BMW keeping the weight low, 420hp should be enough. |

![]() | Re: Official: BMW M3 E92 Concept POTENTIAL Leaked engine specs: OK guys, I was hesitant to post this because I could not verify it myself. Seems a bit fishy. However, I have seen the same data posted here, m3post.com and elsewhere. However no sign of it at the Road and Track website. It is also hard to believe that this was pulled from an off the shelf magazine and someone does not already have it scanned and posted here. Anyway the post - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER claims that R&T claims the info is straight from BMW. OP makes some very nice analysis vs. RS4, 335i, E46 M3 and E60 M5 power plants as well. 420 bhp @ 8300 rpm 295 ft*lb (400 Nm) @ 3900 rpm compression ratio: 12:1 redline: 8400 rpm |
