yes sure if straightline acceleration is very important to you then its a car for you. If you want a more appealing car, a more dynamic car then choose something else.

all i said was..ppl sometimes forget that the car has 480hp... given that its roghly the same size as the M3..
and i said that its nutts.. and it should be fast in a straigt line..wich both are valid things to say...
so whats wrong with that..??
im not saying that its better than the M3..heck its hardly better than the old M3 when it comes to track driving..
and to be honest i rather have the new M3 over a CLK63...

But i was just saying that ppl forget.. (or atleast i do) that it has 481hp

Now if any of you guys have issues with that..
i cant help you further

Relax Artist! I wasn't trying to start trouble, it's just that every time anyone mentioned Mercedes and performance in the same line their always talking about "Straight Line Performance". It seems to undermind Mercedes AMG handling abilities!

Re: E92 M3 discussion thread III

Yes, it's imperative that we don't enter into a CLK63 vs. M3 fan war... but I have to ask: is a CLK really that crap around a circuit? I doubt it. In fact I hear it's rather good for what it is.

Besides, the CLK and M3 Coupe were never toe-to-toe competitors.

Bad and Bad!! it all depends on what we compare it to. Its good compared to a Skoda and bad compared to a Porsche.

Of course M3 is more nimble & agile since it's smaller & lighter. And size + weight are also the reasons 5er / 6er need some more electronic help to fight the laws of physics, while no need for 3er to get that help.

Which of these statements are right? Will the M3 have the flexray M-Dynamics system featuring active chassis management like you said earlier or will the EDC system be exclusive for M5/M6?? But in that case a flexray implementation wouldn't make sense!
