It's an act of a coward to attack civilians. It's a dirty play. Both sides used this dirty tactics in WWII, and I condemn both sides for doing it.
We're seeing this attack on civilians every day ... Either by terrorists or by regular troops. It makes me sick.
I'm totally anti war but in the case of war - I can somehow understand the direct confrontation between armies / troops, but attacking civilians is beyond my comprehension. It's just too animal-like for my mind.
OK, army men have to deal with tactics, and sometimes they think "killing X thousands civilians will end the war (or at least temporarily stop the enemy) and save another X thousand civilians. But still: they are killing CIVILIANS!!! Military (= politically motivated) attack on civilians = terrorism (by definition). Period.
Eg.In the Balkan war started in the 90's the ex-Yugoslav army systematically targeted private residential buildings, schools, churches, hospitals, and other public places in Bosnia & Croatia - demolishing the buildings and killing the civilians inside. It was a systematic tank / cannon fire. Pure terrorism - done by a regular army. It was a part of a tactic as well - to force the other side to surrender. Sounds familiar?
Targeting civilians = targeting the easiest target. And by doing that putting the other side under pressure: giving them ultimatum - either stop fighting & surrender , or more civilians will be slaughtered. It's a tactic of cowards. It just doesn't matter who use it. Nobody shouldn't!
