| Re: Obama phenomenon / fashion / hysteria? Oh please, I think all the stories in the press about his supporters worrying about his security are part of the campaign strategy. I think it is a story the allegedly pro-Obama media reported to enhance him as a brave figure willing to risk his personal security.
Lately it does appear that some media outlets are not being objective in the race. Check the hilarious SNL parody of the recent debate.
The security procedures in place today will not allow a presidential candidate to be harmed at his own friendly rally in a hotel ballroom (RFK in '68). The guys in the press that keep writing these stories should make an effort to do a story on campaign security measures first. Therefore, I think the people who keep talking up the security risk of any candidate are doing it for a political advantage.
