The airport one called my attention

Colombia, Paraguay, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina are there.

I wonder... why SOOO Many airports for these nice South American countries?

If by "airport" they mean : piece of land where you can land a plane ( regardless of size/weight), then I understand places that are more dedicated to "cargo" count same as people-mover type airports.

then yes.. much "cargo" flows out of Colombia
