I really hope Yahoo's bod & biggest shareholders won't approve this. I'd hate to see Yahoo being swept out from the competition. They are currently very vulnerable so some kind of merger could be useful. As eBay is also having financial problems maybe Yahoo and eBay could merge with Amazon.
That would be an interesting combination.
