Re: Maserati Gransport vs. GranTurismo. Your pick?

A lot of people who own Gransports now don't like the new look at all. They don't like the 'Japanese-looking' lights, the rather awkward rear lights and the 'sharp' edges of the interior.

Personally, over time I've grown to love the Gransport. The first time I saw it, I thought that it was a real pity it lost the boomerang rear lights, as that was one of the defining features of the car. But as I see more and more of the redesigned lights I found it rather appropriate for the car. The boomerang lights were a little too futuristic for this type of emotive car. Then, I went on to admire the good proportions of the car. The rear hunch really defines the coupé look and the Gransport really perfected the look with its rims, mesh grille and chiselled looks.

At first I saw the GranT, I was underwhelmed. I didn't like it at all, I felt it had no emotion. But it grew on me. I now think it's a worthy successor to the Gransport. It had a modern look that the Gransport couldn't replicate. But I think the Gransport's interior, while messy, had more emotion.

Anyway, I chose the GranT.
