I'm surprised you didn't get the wood steering wheel together with the extended wood package, because that's what we got.
After some thought, you probably got the standard leather wrapped steering wheel because it has a warming function - absolutely love for winter drives.
The steering wheel gets too hot in where I live, and my dad has to 'burn' his hands to hold it, but it's okay after cooling it for a while.
