Post Skoda S2000 Concept Car @ 2007 Geneva Auto Show

Skoda S2000 Concept Car Revealed

It has long since been a tradition, that Škoda Auto presents studies at the major automobile exhibitions affording a look into the future of the automobile. As a result of a decision taken by the Board of Management in December 2006, the more than one hundred year old motor sport tradition in Mladá Boleslav will be continued. The Study S2000 is the implementation of this idea in reality. The S2000 is a concept car on the basis of the new Fabia and is intended for the future involvement of the Škoda brand in rally sport. The Study S2000 has been designed to comply with the new FIA Rally Regulations. This category is on the best way to becoming the most attractive form of rally in the future. However, the Super 2000 is not only intended to be powerful but also affordable, thus making it the ideal offer for private teams and young talents wishing to enter the sport at national and international levels.

In accordance with the regulations, the car will have a two-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. The Study S2000 exhibits fundamental benchmark data – 3,992 millimetres in length with a wheelbase of 2,486 millimetres correspond to the values of the new Fabia. A clear difference to the serial model, however, is the four-wheel drive. The roll cage in the interior and further parts of the car comply with the Super 2000 regulations.

Škoda Auto celebrated a major jubilee in the year 2001 in its 100-year history of motor sport. With the new Study 2000 designed on the basis of the new Fabia, the tradition of rally sport will be continued
