They have started to design the next generation V6 engine families already, and they are planning to use it in both Mercedes and Chrylser, but the engineers from each company are arguing which company should take charge of most of the engineering and designing. I would imagine this will happen again in future design projects, so the end result might not be what both parties have originally desired.
