Re: Independent Design Focus: Audi A7 and A1 by CG Artist Gabriel RABHI

A7 looks more like a new A6 should look. I hope A7 to be more unconventional. Leave conventional look for A3, A4, A6 & A8 & Sportback lines, bring some exciting design with TT, A1/A2, A5, A7 & Q line.

A1: I prefer Huckfeldt's interpretation. Any of other too boxy & unexciting & too common designs will not stir any emotion at all. I really hope A1 won't end up just being an upscale Polo.

A1 is a chance for Audi to really do something exciting - like they did with Mk1 TT (which I never really liked, but nevertheless) - to attract younger buyers. Otherwise A1 will become a perfect car for wannabee jet set ladies. Just like MB A-class is - yet at least being practical. Good for sales, but image wise the car is as exciting as a dead fish.

I really Audi won't blow it.

Unless the will make two versions: A1 as mini hatch, and later an A2 - an A1 based mini coupe. In this case A1 can be a whatever.

IMO.
