Now before you hear hippies bitching about how MS cannot program, note that it's not due to bad programming, but a intentional design approach. Vista tries to cache as much as possible in the RAM as oppose to paging it on the hard drive, this has two positive results: faster execution (RAM access is much faster than drive access), and lower power consumption, notably in laptops as less hard drive access means less hard drive head rotations which are power cotsly. |
