Here's the thing. By the time programmers are completely acclimated with the amazing feats they can perform on the PS3 it may be too late. There's roughly no more than a one-year window left before an "Alpha Male" emerges from this pack of consoles.
The PS3 may become the new frontier for amazing feats of gaming realism, but the accomplishments may also be the least compelling to all but die-hard gamers who can appreciate fine details. "New Class of Gaming Physics" is marketing spin. I have no reason to believe that raw computing power is going to create games that are a serious jump above what we'll see in the future from the 360 and the Wii.
